The City of Chester has a wealth of parks and gardens to enjoy. The main ornamental park in the city is the Grosvenor Park it has a Victorian layout, with sweeping lawns and flower beds planted out twice a year. The park starts just across the road from the apartment and you can wander though it right to the banks of the River Dee.

The Roman gardens are also an interesting place to see, these are built on the site of the old clay pipe factory. Throughout the Roman Gardens you can see a collection of ruined buildings that date back to Roman times and which were mostly discovered during 19th-century excavations of the city.

A little further afield there are Ness Gardens an absolute must as a day out for a garden and plant lover.
