Grosvenor Museum - Situated in Grosvenor Street is spread over 3 floors of a classic 19th Century building. This award winning Grosvenor Museum offers its visitors the chance to explore 2000 years of Chester history, including information about Roman Life, a fascinating collection of tombstones, Chester wildlife - past and present, art galleries and a unique Chester timeline. It also contains The Grosvenor Museum Art Gallery. Entrance is completely free, and the museum is open 7 days a week.

Dewa Roman Experience - Situated in the centre of the city, here you can experience the sights, sounds & smells of Roman Chester. You can also join one of their tours through the city - see Chester through the eyes of a Roman Soldier. These are at 1.30pm on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the school holidays.

20 Castle Street - This town house takes you back to life from the 17th century to the 1920s and includes Mary in her Victorian kitchen, a Georgian drawing room, a nursery and even a fully fitted Edwardian bathroom.

Toy and Doll Museum - The museum at 13 Lower Bridge Street, houses a toy museum with not only a splendid collection of dolls made between 1860 and 1950 but also the largest collection of Matchbox model cars in the world.
